Min. Frequency of Changes:    every (7-f) secs    -f(f-1)/2

Notes:

  1. Cast upon a single living Target Being (the "Target" or "Shapechanger"), who may be Caster or another.
  2. The Target gets a st (which he may choose not to make).  If the Target saves, there is no effect.  If the Target fails,or chooses not, to save, he gains the ability to Shapechange his body up to N times during the Duration into the forms of living Vegetables ( "Shapechangees").
  3. The Shapechange is Shapechanger-specified.  Each Shapechangee may be freely specified by the Shapechanger, so long as it is a possible living Vegetable.  The changes are specified by thought (which requires light concentration) rather than by the Shapechanger physically transforming himself.  The Shapechangee does not need to be a species of Vegetable known to or memorised by the Shapechanger.  The Spirit will accurately produce a proper form for an actual Vegetable that is correctly specified (e.g. a Druid from the forests of Taur Galen who has never seen a coconut palm can specify "cocounut palm" and one will be produced).  The Shapechangee must be a whole single plant, not a fruit or other part of the plant.  It is not possible to Shapechange into imaginary Vegetables.  The Shapechanger may Shapechange into duplicates of actual Vegetables if he has Instressed at least their Inscape from them and remembers them sufficiently accurately (a Mr check may be required if a long time has passed).  Time may be required to think the necessary instructions.
  4. The Shapechangee may be any Size that is natural for that Vegetable.  The Change takes 1/5 sec per pt Sz difference.  A new change can be begun before the previous one has finished, if Min. Frequency of Changes permits.
  5. Healing Effect: on each completed Shapechange, the Shapechanger loses (10xD6)% DAM.  Picking fruit from him or dead leaves falling from him does not do him DAM, but cutting off living branches or leaves will do so.
  6. Only the body Shapechanges to Vegetable form.  Clothes and possessions are dropped, and the Shapechanger will be naked on changing back.
  7. The Druidic Shapechange Power may be used during Duration, even though it Shapechanges the Shapechanger into an Animal.
  8. At the end of the Duration the Shapechanger changes back to his form before the Spell was Cast or (where applicable) to the last one he Druidically Shapechanged into during Duration.  He may change back to his form before the Spell was Cast before the end of Duration (even though it is not an Vegetable), but it will count as one of his N Changes (so he cannot do so if he has already used them all).
  9. Shapechange to Vegetables is a Shapechange Spell.  See the General Notes on Shapechange Spells and Effects for further explanation of how its Effect works.  Note that most Vegetables are unable to move, and canot therefore Fight or Dodge.
  10. A prolonged stay in Vegetable form can make the Shapechanger fall victim to the Trance of the Trees, which will remain after he changes back.
