Materials: a live tree / plant, dependent on version of Spell (the "Sending Plant"). This may include a cutting or a seed, so long as there is still life capable of growing in it. Talk via Animals and Twitter work similarly, using animals and birds respectively.  Talk via Seashells works similarly, using seashells.

Effect of Throw:

 R = 50 miles of distance between the Plants and 10 feet of distance from the Receiving Plant to any specified Recipient. This last effect throws the Caster's voice to the Recipient, or a point at the expiry of R towards him, and allows the Recipient to speak back via the same point.

Duration: t min - t(t-1)/2

Notes:

1. Gives hearing only to willing Recipient known personally to Caster, who must decide whether to accept the Talk (no saving throw). If Recipient decides to accept Talk, onlookers at both ends can hear the other party to the Talk (at the volume used by the other party, all Thievish effects applying).
2. The Spell is directed to the nearest specimen of the same species of tree / plant to the Recipient, including any live cutting or seed (the "Receiving Plant"). The Druid may specify a Receiving Plant of the same species from which he has instressed instead of specifying a Recipient person, in which case he may converse with anyone in hearing range.
3. If the Plants are in different Forests, R must be measured via the Hearts of each Forest, using a direct line through the earth between them. For the Tree People version of the Spell, R=0 between two Sacred Hearts.
4. Talk via Animals causes the Receiving Animal to seek out (using up Duration, so use hares rather than snails!) and talk to the Recipient if within Range, rather than throwing the Caster's voice. If the Recipient is out of Range, the animal will go to the end of the Range and call the Recipient. If he does not respond, it will wander off, free from the Spell. The different Forest restriction does not apply to Talk via Animals.  Twitter is Talk via Animals between two Birds of the same species.
5. Talk via Seashells allows communication between two seashells from the same species.  Ones with chambers give the best sound.  It only works within the same sea and within all rivers and streams that flow into that sea.
