Range: 3d ft -(4+d(d+1)/2) If Cast on self, there is no Range minus. If Cast on another Being or an object, Range is at least 0 ft, so there will be a Range minus of at least -4.

Radius: 5r ft -r(r+1)    If Cast on a single Target, there is no Radius minus.  If Cast with a Radius, Protects all within Radius (friend or foe).

Notes:

  1. Cold Resistance gives a subtraction from each die of Cold Damage in favour of those Protected, before any saving throws are made or other effects applied (unless those effects expressly state otherwise).
  2. It only benefits those Protected.  Spell Turned Cold Damage does not receive the Cold Resistance subtraction in favour of those outside the Radius upon whom it is turned.
  3. The Radius moves with the Target Being / object.
  4. Cold Resistance is not cumulative with other Cold Resistance effects which give subtractions to dice of Cold Damage (apply whichever gives the greatest subtraction).  It is cumulative with other effects which protect against Cold Damage in other ways (e.g. by giving bonuses to saving throws).
