Effect of Throw:

3 to 12 Insanity

13 to 15 Caster takes Damage from 3 to 1d6 Slingstones to random Hit Locations (no st) - the Slingstones appear out of the nearest wall / the ground, and disappear after hitting

16 to 19 No Effect

20    Penetration: 10(T-19) ft

Duration: 30t min - t(t-1)/2

Range: d ft -4+(d(d+1)/2) If cast on self, there is no Range minus. If cast on others, Range is at least 0 ft, so there will be a Range minus of at least -4.

Notes:

  1. Target can fire Ranged or Thrown Weapons through up to Penetration feet of earth / rock / metal ore ("Walls") as if they were air.  The Spell does not allow the ADS effect of metal armour / shields to be avoided.
  2. Target still takes normal Range effects from firing.  Penetrated Walls still count towards the Range.
  3. The Spell does not allow the Target to see through Walls.  He will need an Earthsee or X-Ray Vision Effect to target accurately.
  4. The Spell allows an Earthwalking Target to fire out of the Earth at non-Earthwalking opponents or Earthwalking opponents to be fired at from within or without the Earth.  Earthwalking opponents are hit (and ADS) as normal, unless they are creatures of earth / rock / metal ore (e.g. Stone Golems, but not Stone Giants or Gargoyles).
  5. Any Ranged or Thrown Weapon may be used to Fire Through Walls, whether or not the projectiles are made of Earth.
  6. If the Target misses his opponent, the projectile will carry on travelling through up to Penetration feet of Walls, and will become embedded if it runs out of Penetration before Effective Range.
