Notes:

  1. Wall of Iron instantaneously produces a wall of solid iron of the dimensions specified by Caster up to the Maximum Volume of iron given by T.  If Caster specifies less volume than given by T, only that specified is produced.
  2. All of the specified Wall must be within Range of Caster.  Any of it that is specified outside the Range does not appear, but still counts toward Maximum Volume (with the excess being deducted from within the Range).
  3. The Wall is a smooth sheet of solid cast iron (or steel with higher values of P).  Its M for Thievish Climb Walls is 15.
  4. The Wall extends into the adjacent Earth, as if it were built into it, for the Duration, and may not be moved (except by other Spells or Effects).  To block a Dungeon passgae, a larger Wall therefore needs to be specified than the diomensions of the passage,  If Cast in the Air, it will fall, or in Water, it will sink.  It disappears instantaneously at the end of the Duration (subject to any Extensions).
  5. The Wall will be straight and vertical.  It can be cast horizontally as a floor or ceiling by specifying height, width and depth appropriately, but will need to be sufficiently extended into its surroundings at its edges to prevent it falling down.
  6. If an object is within the space where the Wall appears, it will be chopped in two by the Wall.  Magic Items get a st.
  7. Any Beings that are within the space where the Wall appears must make a st against being chopped in two in the Wall at the poinmt where it appears (roll a random HitLoc if unclear).  The Wall does i * 4d6 Damage to sever at the point of impact.  If it makes the st or the Wall fails to achieve a Sever or Death result, the Being appears on the side of the Wall where the majority of its body was at the point the Wall appeared.  Incorporeal or Earthwalking Beings that may move through walls are unaffected by the Wall.  Gaseous Beings are treated as having made their st and take no Damage.
  8. A Wall of Iron has ADS of (d4+1+P) and can take 16 points of Damage per half inch of thickness.  On exceeding the amount of Damage it can take, a hole is broken in the Wall in the area that took the Damage.  Rust Monsters and Organisms that corrode metal will destroy it easily.
