16 to 20 M = (T-15)

M = (T-10)/2 FRD
Maximum Volume = M units of 50 sq ft and 1 inch thick,
i.e. M is a Wall with no varied Parameters other than Duration
Range: 30d ft -d(d-1)/2
Width: 10w ft -w(w-1)/2
Height: 5h ft -h(h-1)/2
Thickness: i inches -i
Note that M is effectively divided by i, in addition to the Minus for the
Variable Parameter.
Duration: t min - t
Notes:
- Wall of Stone instantaneously produces a wall of solid stone of the
dimensions specified by Caster up to the Maximum Volume of stone given
by T. If Caster specifies less volume than given by
T, only that specified is produced.
- All of the specified Wall must be within Range of Caster.
Any of it that is specified outside the Range does not appear,
but still counts toward Maximum Volume (with the excess being deducted
from within the Range).
-
The Wall will match local walls or rock in type of rock and
appearance, in particular those which it adjoins.
Where appropriate it may be composed of stone blocks, brick of even
sun-hardened mud, but it will always be made of Earth.
Its D for Thievish Climb Walls
will match the surrounding walls (5 by default).
-
The Wall is bonded to the adjacent Earth, as if it were part of it,
for the Duration, and may not be moved (except by other Spells or
Effects). If Cast in the Air, it will fall, or in
Water, it will sink. It disappears instantaneously at
the end of the Duration (subject to any Extensions).
-
The Wall will be straight and vertical. It can
be cast horizontally as a floor or ceiling by specifying height, width
and depth appropriately, but will need to be sufficiently bonded at its
edges to prevent it falling down.
-
If an object is within the space where the Wall appears, it is
surrounded by the Wall for Duration, but not damaged by it.
The space occupied by the object counts towards Maximum Volume.
-
Any Beings that are within the space where the Wall appears must
make a st against being trapped in the Wall for Duration (as for
objects). This will not of itself damage or kill
them, although for example they may be prevented from breathing if their
head is encased in the Wall. If they are moving when
trapped, they take d6 of General Damage for each movement bracket of
speed (i.e. Walk = d6, Charge = 4d6), less their minimum ADS.
A Being which makes its st will appear on the side of the Wall
where the majority of its body was at the point the Wall appeared, and
will take 1 less d6 of the above General Damage if they appear behind it
and so collide with it (i.e. 0d6 if Walking, 3d6 if Charging).
Incorporeal or Earthwalking Beings that may move through walls
are unaffected by the Wall. Gaseous Beings are
treated as having made their st and take no Damage.
-
A Stone Wall of Anar Granite can take 12 points of blunt Damage per
inch of thickness. The General Damage done to trapped
moving Beings (or by moving objects, e.g. a thrown Hammer) is also done
to the Wall. On exceeding the amount of Damage it can
take, a hole is broken in the Wall in the area that took the Damage.
Walls of other materials vary in the Damage they can take, from 5
per inch for baked mud to 15 per inch for natural quartzite.
