Attack Modes:

The Watcher in the Water attacks with up to ML Tentacles at once, making AMR attacks per melee round with them.  However, multiple Tentacles may attack in the same sec., so it does not lose Initiative Dice (though it may not exceed its max. AMR).

Tentacle  @ A = 130%, DAM = d8 + 10% chance per 1 DAM rolled (before ADS) that will wrap round opponent and pick him up.  It is then prone to wave him around in the air, taking d20 secs before it drops him into its gaping maw using the next availanble AMR.  Once swallowed (takes a further 1 sec.), stomach then does 2d6 Acid Damage per sec, BTS (55+5(ML-5))% (Co).  Need to do 50% Damage to Body to cut one's way out / 100% to cut someone out where unsure of location.

Body does not usually become visible (except to underwater attackers) until it has picked up an opponent with a Tentacle and is preparing to drop him into its maw (roll a further d20 to determine in which sec Body appears, ignoring results > 1st roll).

10% DAM to the 0 ADS HitLoc in the Body (an eye) will blind it, but this has no apprecaible difference on its ability to carry on fighting, except perhaps to arrange it.

Bleeding is minimal and can be ignored.

Thievish Abilities: none, though it is speculated that the Tentacles Far Taste prey in some fashion.

Other Abilities / Powers / Notes:

  1. Originally deployed by Evil Powers as guardians of watery locations, a number of these Monsters have escaped into the wild (or out of the Dark Forest).  It is not known whether they breed in the wild, as they are rare and tend to stay in one location, but they are believed to be long-lived.
  2. Fresh Water Breathing.
  3. Regenerate @ ML HP/10 sec (spaced as evenly as possible), starting (15-ML) sec after first take Damage.  Only Fire, Acid or Disintegration will prevent Regeneration.  The body Regenerates from the largest surviving piece.
  4. Immune to Acid and Madness.
  5. Fire Vulnerable.
