You are obliged to carry out Spells for Elementalists in accordance with the CODEX ELEMENTALIUM. You should also obey your Superior Powers, if They manifest Themselves to you.
Your overriding duty, however, is that you are Bound to a Magic Ring, currently worn by Decus. The wearer controls you and can store you in the Ring, whence you can only escape at the wearer's command, or on a True Name Summoning within 40 ft. The control of your Magic requires considerable skill: Decus has only gained control of half your total power.
It suits you to be friendly to Decus' young daughter, Julietta, to whom you have confided your True Name and taught her to be a 2nd Level Air Elementalist. Sometimes you perform Spells for her voluntarily.
Her other companion, Hoger the Horrible, annoys you, since he can usually see you, even if hiding or disguised. You tease him to transfer your annoyance to him.
Your previous controller, Palrino, lent the Ring to Decus 15 years ago to help Decus rescue his baby (Julietta), who had been snatched from a ship by a merman (Dyrom). You retrieved the child, but ever since Decus has been stranded on the Isle.
The human Emperor seems to be a personal enemy of his, for when you reported the Imperial Fleet he made you separate the Emperor's ship, drive it onto the reef, and spare only the small boat bearing the Emperor.
