The Hare and Rabbit Cults

Hare Totem

Hares are Sacred to the Moon, and their Cults are Sponsored by MIRIMI in Her Aspect of LEPORA, Goddess of the Moon and Hares.  Rabbits are Sacred to both the Moon and Her Son, the EvenStar, and their Cults are variously Sponsored by LEPORA and THE WHITE RABBIT, an Aspect of RAYLIT.  The Hare and Rabbit Cults are closely related, and both Hares and Rabbits may be revered by the same tribe, with individual members being chosen either by the Hare or Rabbit as their Totem Animal.  The Hare and Rabbit Cults share a common Beastmaster Cycle of Druidic Spells: the Leporid Cycle.

The Way of the Hare teaches speed, intuition, transformation and adaptability, whilst the Way of the Rabbit teaches fertility, apparent innocence and cunning.  Both Hares and Rabbits have reputations as tricksters.  Their Cults tend to avoid direct combat, seeking victory by more devious means.

Hare and Rabbit Cultists can be found in the following areas of the Overworld:

Hare Cultists may also be found in the Underworld: in the Icelands, Desert or on grassy plains.

There may also be Hare and Rabbit Cults attached to MIRIMI or RAYLIT Temples and Monasteries.  The Order of the Moonrunners is a Hare Cultist branch of the MIRIMI Monastic Cult of The Order of the Moonwalkers.  RAYLIT Rabbit Cults go by various names; the Bad Bunnies being a favourite.
