Notes:

  1. Dispel [Alignment] is a Counterspell.
  2. It Dispels Magic Using and some permanent effects of the Dispelled Alignment (including effects of Spells, and potentially including unused Potions, effects of Potions, effects of Magic Items, the properties of Magic Items and the effects of Powers) on a single Target Being or Object, or (if Cast with a Radius) on all Beings and Objects within Radius.
  3. Clerical Spells and their effects have the Alignment of the God Who granted them.  Other Spells and their effects have the Alignment of their Caster.  Potions are generally unaligned, even if produced by or taken by someone of a particular Alignment.  The effects of a Magic Item will only normally be aligned if the Item has been Consecrated / Sanctified / Desecrated to a particular God.
  4. Unlike Dispel Magic, Dispel [Alignment] may Dispel some permanent effects where there is no longer a Spell or other Magic Using in effect, provided those effects can be considered to be aligned.  Such effects may include the properties of aligned Magic Items, Consecration / Sanctification / Desecration, and even physical manifestations of the relevant Alignment (e.g. Dispel Chaos can Dispel effects of ChaosMastery).  The original Spell and T obtained on it are used where applicable.  Otherwise the DM will assign an appropriate T to it.
  5. Dispel [Alignment] cannot Dispel Beings of a particular Alignment or Dispel their Alignment.
  6. If a Spell is being Cast or is resolving during any second of the Casting time of Dispel [Alignment], then the Target Beings and Objects receive Counterspell Protection against the effects of that Target Spell until the resolution of Dispel [Alignment].  The resolution of the effects of that Target Spell against the Target Beings and Objects is therefore delayed until the resolution of Dispel [Alignment].  If the Target Spell is then Dispelled, it has no effects on the Target Beings and Objects.
  7. Dispel [Alignment] separately Targets all Spells whose effects are applicable to the Target Beings and Objects.  Make a separate calculation and %age roll for each such Spell.  The order to be Dispelled may be specified as variable parameter n.  Otherwise (or after the n Spells and effects so specified), select the first to be Dispelled randomly (unless there is an incoming Spell about to resolve as per 6. above, in which case it is selected - if there are multiple such Spells they are Dispelled in the order they started to be Cast before any pre-existing effects are Dispelled).  The T of Dispel [Alignment] is halved for the calculation of % chance of success against each Target Spell or effect after the first (e.g. it is halved twice against the 3rd Target Spell or effect).
  8. For purposes of Dispelling them where applicable, Potions have the Minimum Throw required by their respective Recipes, and are of the Magic-Using Discipline of the Spell required.  Non-Magical Alchemical Items are not normally affected by Dispel [Alignment].
