Range: 100d ft -d(d-1)2
Dryad may be Summoned from outside Range, but if It goes beyond Range of
Caster after Summoning, then the Spell Effect ends.
Notes:
- A Dryad appears, of Level
dependent on T (Caster may specify max).
- No Willpower Battle is required to
control the Dryad, but heavy concentration
is required to get It to perform the Caster's desired Spell Effects and
not become distracted or wander off beyond
Range.
- Whilst Caster heavily concentrates the Dryad can then be made to perform,
for the Duration, any Druidic
Spells which It is capable of casting (i.e. of Spell
Level
£
its
Spell Level) and for which the Media are those used as the Medium for
Casting the Summon Dryad. If Mallorn / Sequoia / Kapok is used as
the Medium, any Druidic Spell from the standard Spell List of the
Druid's Cult may be Cast. For non-standard Spells or those of
other Cults, the speciifc Tree People Medium for that Spell must have
been used as the Medium for Casting the Summon Dryad.
- The
instructions to perform Spells are given verbally (Old Speech is not
necessary), and the giving of those instructions and observing their
success (or otherwise) do not break concentration, as they are part of
what the Caster is concentrating on. The instructions must be to
perform a specific Druidic Spell (i.e. not just an effect the Caster
considers Druidic) with the requisite Media and unambiguous (or the
Dryad may misnterpret them.
- The T achieved on each Spell performed will be equal to the T achieved
on Summon Dryad, less any variable parameters specified by the
Caster (or inferred by the Dryad from their instructions). Each Spell performed subtracts (2 * SL) min. from the Duration. If
there is insufficient Duration left , the Dryad will perform the Spell but
with Duration = 0 on that Spell.
- The
Dryad may go off if necessary to perform Spells, and will come back after
each has been completed, provided sufficient Duration remains. If It
leaves the Range to do so, the Spell Effect will end unless It necessarily
had to do so to perform Its instructions. Care must therefore be
taken to stop It wandering off beyond Range when not strictly necessary,
- The Dryad can be dismissed before the end of the Duration.
