Damage bottled = (T-10)/5 FRU
Range (to Bottle Fireball only): d ft
-d
Notes:
- The Spell is normally only available to be Bound by Alchemists or
their assistants / apprentices.
- It is used by Alchemists to construct
Fire Bombs. It bottles
one Fire Bomb only.
- It may also be used to bottle a Fireball,
in which case the flammable Materials are not required and the Range
Variable Parameter applies. The Fireball must have been Cast and be
within its Duration without having yet exploded. If it explodes in
the same sec. as the Bottle Fire resolves, the Bottle Fire fails.
The Max. d6 Fire Damage bottled by the Bottle Fire must be >= the Fire
Damage that the Fireball would cause when it exploded, or the Bottle Fire
fails.
- Bottled Fire Bombs (including ones created from Fireballs) are not
subject to a Duration and will potentially keep indefinitely.
-
Fire Bombs are unstable, and there is a chance of a dud:
roll d100 RUD on detonation (where F = Fire Damage that would otherwise be
caused):
- If <= F is rolled, subtract 1 d6 for each point < (F+1) rolled: e.g if 05
is rolled for a 6d6 Fire Bomb, it does 4d6, & if <= 0 is rolled, it does no
DAM.
- If <= 100 is rolled, add 1 d6 for each point < 99 rolled: e.g if 100 is
rolled for a 6d6 Fire Bomb, it does 7d6, & if rolled up to 101 it does 8d6
(even if only originally created from a 6d6 Fireball).
