Notes:
- The Spell transports the Caster and Passengers to a
destination location in the direction selected by the Actions.
- The Caster does not have to be able to observe the destination location.
- The Caster may specify a distance to be transported. If
he does not or if D is less than specified, the destination
location is D ft in the selected direction. If D is
greater than specified, the destination location is the
specified distance in the selected direction.
- The Caster and Passengers appear facing the same way as
they were when Casting.
- The Caster must always Dimension Door himself. If he saves, the Dimension Door
fails for all Passengers. Dimension Door Others,
which allows the teleporting of other people and objects
whilst the Caster stays behind, is Level 5 Planist.
- The Spell only transports within the same Plane, unless
the Caster has a Planewalk effect or Power (in which case
the usual 2/3 ratio for casting between the Planes applies: see "Casting Spells
between the Planes" in the General Magic-Using System).
- The Spell allows transportation through physical
obstacles, but if the Caster would partly appear in the
same location as a physical obstacle, the Spell fails. If
a Passenger would partly appear in the same location as a
physical obstacle, he and any other Passengers holding
hands with the Caster only via him are not transported.
- Disorientation Time applies to all Beings
transported. Whilst disorientated they are unable to perceive their
surroundings, take any actions or Cast any Spells. They have D &
RD = 0, and defensive ThL 0, but may make saving throws normally. If
standing, they will remain on their feet. IST is recovered normally
during disorientation time.
