where dice of Fire Damage are counted as if they have all rolled their maximum.  E.g a Wall of Fire doing 6d6 Fire Damage counts as 36 points, so would require a T of 34 to Extinguish it.

Notes:

  1. Puts out all fires within Radius up to a maximum amount of Fire Damage dependent on T.
  2. Will stop flaming swords, Dragons' breath etc. being effective during the second of resolution, but will not prevent them recharging and flaming again in subsequent secs.
  3. Can be cast as a Counterspell against Fire Spells and Effects targeting Caster or including him in their area of effect during a Protection Period, which consists of the casting time of the Extinguish, the rest of the sec of casting if cast in less than a sec, and the immediately following Protection Period of 1 sec (extendable).  If the Extinguish achieves sufficient T to Extinguish the Fire Spell or Effect, it has no effect on Caster.
  4. If a Protection Radius is specified, the Counterspell effect extends to the whole of that Protection Radius and anyone with it.  Otherwise, if the Fire Spell or Effect resolves before the Extinguish and the Extinguish then puts it out, the Fire Spell or Effect will still have effect around Caster in normal Radius until the Extinguish takes effect.
