  3. Cold: +2d6 for the Holy / +d6 otherwise Cold DAM or +3d6 for the Holy / +2d6 otherwise Cold DAM vs Cold Vulnerable or Fire-using Defenders

  4. Cold Resistance -6 for a Holy Wielder / -2 otherwise (subtracts n from each d6 of Cold Damage, but not so as to give a negative result on any die)

History:

The legendary weapon obtained by Ulfang Whitebeard in his Quest in the Year 1820, leading to the War of Unification and Foundation of the Kingdom of the North.  Subsequently handed down through the line of Norse Kings.

On 15 XIII 2500 King Bjørn XVI (who was not Holy) was assassinated by Harrek Dragonhelm, Holy bearer of the Axe of Flame, who then wielded both Axes of ESCUS in the subsequent Northern Civil War.  But ten days later, on 25 XIII Harrek lost the Axe of Cold to a Sphere of Annihilation in the Raid on Hell.

Later Harrek somehow retrieved a duplicate of the Axe of Cold in Chaos and restored it to King Bjørn XVII on his becoming Holy.
