Magic Items

A "Magic Item" is an object which has been permanently enchanted with a Magical power or ability.  It will Detect as Magical to Detect Magic Spells and abilities and is potentially vulnerable to being Disenchanted.

According to Csiero, Man of Heaven (in his thesis "Artifacts and Extremism") Magic Items fall naturally into two classes:

1. ITEMS; unaligned items made to be used by anyone / usable by anyone if deconsecrated.  Some may only be usable in connection with certain abilities / powers; and
2. ARTIFACTS; aligned items produced by, at the instigation of, or with the willing assistance of Gods or other ambitious Higher Powers with a view to Godhead.

Artifacts are significantly more powerful than items.
