Personality

Titus is an obsessive adventurer who has reached the top of his House at a relatively young age by a single-minded devotion to the gaining of experience, in particular Fighter experience.  He likes to think of his body as a perfect fighting machine, and will always be the first to leap into a combat.  He tends to think of his Thievish and Clerical / Paladinic abilities as primarily ways of protecting himself against Thievish and Magical attack respectively when he is in combat.

Titus is gay, and has recently ended a long-standing relationship with Drusus, 2nd Champion of Jalaskir, and Governor of Hapral Province.  Homosexuality is illegal in Valdrea, and they therefore had to keep their relationship secret.  This was why they chose for their offices the Navy and Hapral (both of which are more tolerant of such matters than society is in Valdran).  Titus realises that many of his contemporaries are aware of, or at least suspect, his orientation, and this has cultivated in him a somewhat secretive nature.

Driven by his ambition, he has decided it is now time to return to the centre of affairs, and perhaps make his bid for the Lion Throne.  Hence his dropping of Drusus, who is still somewhat bitter about it, but would not start a scandal which would damage himself too.

Titus has never liked Decus of Aven, whom he has always found arrogant, and who treats him with contempt.  He suspects the Emperor of seeking evidence to prosecute him for homosexuality.

Decus of Mastrin, on the other hand, is a good friend of his.  They have known each other since boyhood, and have been on many dungeon expeditions together.  Mastrin knows Titus is gay, but disregards it.

Titus does not have strong feelings about Lawfulness.  He is loyal to his Empire, and to SARAN, but is Neutral / Lawful for pragmatic, rather than idealistic, reasons.

As for the Law emanating from the Sun Diamond, when he has been near it he has had feelings towards women that he has never experienced before, and Titus finds this confusing.

Past History / Background Information (Memories)

Titus is only son of an old-established line of the Noble House of Jalaskir.  His Fighter experience was gained in the Dungeons, and serving in the Imperial Guard, when he fought against the Bandits and Chaotics.  He personally commanded the Guard in the Battle of Lake Zarak, and his victory over the rebels earned him great honour.  It was shortly after this that he took the Championship of Jalaskir, resigned his commission, and successfully challenged for the Lord Admiralship.

He wields the Sword of the Marshal, as the Marshal, Marcus Champion of Tarm, chooses to wield the Sword of Tarm, and so let the Sword of the Marshal go to the Admiral by default (even though Marcus does not like Titus), rather than Marcus’ taking the Sword of the Marshal, which would let the Sword of Tarm go to the 2nd Champion of Tarm by default.  Titus believes this is because Marcus and Varus, 2nd Champion of Tarm and Lord Protector of West Post Military Area, are rivals, and Marcus needs an edge to keep the Championship of the House.

Possessions

"Gladius Legati" Holy Sword of the Marshal

In addition to those possessions shown on his spreadsheet, Titus has a town house in the Jalaskir Quarter of the Sacred City of Valdran and a country estate on the Southern shore of the Alma Estuary.  His family seat is near Jarno in Jalaskir Province, and is owned by his father (he visits infrequently).  His Imperial Flagship, the "Empress Julia" is normally docked in the Navy yard at Hapral (but is not his personal property).  Titus is a wealthy man, from his allowance from his father, his income from his country estate and his cut of prizes and sales of commissions.  He banks in Hapral, Valdran and Kuntax.

Victory Conditions

Play in character.

You must decide for yourself what objectives your character would set himself in the present crisis, and you must then seek to achieve them, in the same way as he would.
