The Stone Circles of the Northlands

Stone Circles of the Northlands

The Northlands are a Sub-Forest of The North West Forest.  Their Stone Circles are as follows:

Sacred Heart: Bjarmigen Heights (Symbol: the Raven)

  1. Mern Circle - on a hilltop above the Western end of the Mern Gap (Symbol: the Wildcat)
  2. Hastir Circle - in a hidden valley high in the Hastir Range (Symbol: the Black Wolf - a Goblin Wolf Cult Site)
  3. Pelgan Circle - in a green oasis where a stream from the Pelgan Mountains debouches into the Bêrik Desert (Symbol: the Otter)
  4. Kôrin Circle - in a hidden valley of the Kôrin Hills, looking out to Kôrin Fjørd (Symbol: the Brown Bear - a Bear Cult Site)
  5. Kolm Circle - on a hilltop on the Southern tip of the island (Symbol: the Sea Eagle - a Bird Cult Site)
  6. Hûb Circle - on an islet reached by a tidal causeway at the Southern tip of the peninsula (Symbol: the Seal)

The following Circles normally form the remaining Links from these Circles (though the exact Links from individual Circles may vary (Letters indicate they are thus marked on the map):

  1. A.    Grinen Circle, of the North West Forest - in the depths of the Forest of Grinen (Symbol: the Stag)
  2. B.    Source (of the Garf) Circle, of the North West Forest - built on a terminal moraine of the Great Glacier (Symbol: the Salmon)
  3. Sacred Heart Circle of the Minor Forest of Kyr (Symbol: the White Wolf)
  4. Coastal Desert Circle, of the Mountains of the Dwarves (Symbol: the Whale)
  5. Caldrick Circle, of the Valdrean Plain (Symbol: the Grey Wolf - a Wolf Cult Site)
  6. Koniki Circle, of the Icelands (Symbol: the Polar Bear)

A Dolphin Symbol (an alternative Link from maritime Sites) Links to Northern Sea Circle of the Great Ocean, which is underwater.
