Appears:  His usual appearance is not to be described, as it can cause Madness in lesser beings.  However, He may sometimes appear as a wild-eyed old man, or as a saturnine young man.

His Attendants are also not to be described, lest it cause Madness.  However, they may sometimes appear as Furies and/or Hounds.

In Circle:

1. Will induce or remove one Nightmare.

In Triangle:

1. Will explain one Nightmare.
2. Will give power over one Nightmare for its duration, or permanently for a Pact.

Familiars: Bats, rats, hounds, spiders, or whatever else may pursue one in one's darkest dreams

Abode: Palace of Dreams

Items: The Skull of Terror, in the eyes of which (it is said) are reflected horrors beyond description.

Notes:

A solitary, but widely respected Demon Lord.  The Grimoires usually recommend Summoning Him blindfolded (if they recommend it at all), but Bjørn II's gloss indicated that this was an ineffective precaution, and that Magical protection was to be preferred.  His Summoning without such defences is an initiation ceremony for certain Cults of Hellish Binders.  Joining such Cults is even less recommended than is Summoning KASHAT without protection.  His services are often sought by fellow Demons, and for this reason it is wise for the Binder to have some protection against Nightmares even if KASHAT is never Summoned.  One way to obtain such protection, however, is to Summon KASHAT.
