1. Pass
through Overgrowth Sered Cycle
1. Pass across Icefields
Ranian Cycle of the Icelands
BTS: 25% (Co)
ULT: 8 hours
Materials: a scythe, machete or other cutting
implement (a dagger will do) / an ice axe for Pass across Icefields
Actions: make a cutting motion with Materials
Effect of Throw:
1 to 10 No Effect
³ 11 Max Speed = (T-10)
ft/sec NB Spell does not move Target and Passengers, like
a Fly or Wind Walk Spell. It just removes obstacles to their moving by
other means.
Duration: 30t min - t(t-1)/2
Range: 3d ft -(4+d(d+1)/2) If
Cast on self, there is no Range minus. If Cast on another Being or an
object, Range is at least 0 ft, so there will be a Range minus of at least
-4.
Passengers: N living passengers -2N (in addition to Target
- no need to hold
hands)
Weight: unlimited (but will reduce speed at which can move as per Movement
& Encumbrance system)
Notes:
- Target and Passengers may move through vegetables without hindrance, up
to the max speed of which they would be capable in clear terrain or the Max
Speed given by the Spell (whichever is slower).
- The vegetables part to let them through, but do not move from where
they are rooted. They must
therefore dodge tree trunks, and cannot pass through impassable vegetation
(e.g. a hedge of thorns).
- Where the vegetation is passable, it does not touch the Caster and
Passengers.
- Gives a DL against Thievish Track
of that of the underlying earth / snow +2.
- Pass across Icefields allows Caster and Passengers
to traverse snow, ice and glaciers without slipping, floundering or
falling down hidden crevasses. It does not allow them to move
through obstacles such as seracs or to cross crevassses without jumping
them, although it does enable them to be crossed by the most fragile of
snow bridges. It also has the effect that falling ice in icefalls
will miss them, although it will not prevent them from being buried and
trapped in an avalanche. Snowshoes or crampons make no difference
to the Spell, though they are useful when it wears off. If on
skis, the Max Speed can more easily be reached, but once it is exceeded,
the Spell will have no effect.
