Maximum Minus for Variable Parameters ("M") = (x + (Bonus for Experience on Spell whose Effect is being produced) - (Caster's current Inter Spell Time))    -x    where x must be >= 0

Notes:

  1. Cast on Caster only.
  2. Caster's body and the weapons he is wielding burn with the currently Available Fire Damage for the Duration, shining with Light Intensity +3 for 60 ft Radius as per an Illuminate Lantern Effect.  Caster may not use Infravision for the Duration.
  3. Caster has Fire Resistance -6 and counts as a Fire User / is Cold Vulnerable for the Duration.
  4. At any time during the Duration Caster may with 1 sec light concentration expend any number of d6 of the Available Fire Damage to produce the Effect of any Elementalist Fire Spell that does Fire Damage (designated in bold as Fire Spells in their specs) which he has fully learned.  This may be done by pointing a weapon or staff (which has no particular system effect but looks impressive).  The Effect has the number of d6 Fire Damage expended, the base BTS of Bringer of Fire, and any or all of the Variable Parameters of the Spell the Effect of which is being produced may be utilised, provided that the maximum minus which would be taken on Casting that Spell with each of them is no greater than M.  No IST is taken for producing Spell Effects in this way.  Only one such Effect may be created each sec.
  5. For Fire Spells that do their Damage multiple times (e.g. Flaming Weapon) the Available Fire Damage expended in producing their Effects must be specified as a total expended and a set amount to be expended each time the Effect resolves, which subtracts from the total expended.  No Available Fire Damage is resolved more than once, so sufficient must be expended in total on specifying the Effect to produce the desired results.  Once the total has been expended the Effect ceases.
  6. Durations of Effects produced in this way may not be Extended.  The Duration of Bringer of Fire may be Extended as normal.
  7. The Effects of Fire Spells doing Fire Damage in points of Damage rather than d6s may be produced by expending a chosen no. of d6s, rolling them and converting into that much Fire Damage.  For Fire Spells doing Fire Damage by dice other than d6s, substitute d6s when producing their Effects by Bringer of Fire.
  8. If Caster touches (or is touched by) any target Being or object or hits it with a weapon he is wielding, he may expend any number of d6 of the Available Fire Damage to do the target that much Fire Damage (BTS as above).  This is done as part of hitting it, without any need to use additional concentration.  Ranged or Thrown Weapons may only be used to do Fire Damage by an appropriate Spell Effect.
  9. Expending d6s of Available Fire Damage reduces the Available Fire Damage accordingly.
  10. Bringer of Fire is a Fire Spell.  Fire-Vulnerable Beings take double damage from it (multiply the result of the nd6 by *2 before rolling the first st).  It has no effect underwater.
  11. A st against Fire Damage halves the Damage taken (FRU: e.g. 5 is halved to 2), and a further st may then be made to halve it again. Once a st is failed, the Target takes the remaining Fire Damage. The min ADS of any armour that covers the majority of the body subtracts from the Damage taken. All Damage taken is General Damage.
  12. Caster takes -10 on Water and Cold Spells for the Duration.

Example:

Burnaby is a L20 Elementalist, specialising in Fire Spells.  He has In 18, Dx(M) 18, is Fluent in Old Speech and has 115 Unfilled Spell Levels.  The Fire Elementals favour him, giving him +2 on all Fire Spells.  He has 5 Experience Pluses on Bringer of Fire, giving him a Total Plus on it of +66.  He has 50 Experience Pluses on Fireball, giving him a Bonus for Experience of +16 on Fireball.

Burnaby Casts Bringer of Fire with 1 hr Duration (-0) and x = 4 (-4).  He rolls 7, for a Throw of 69.  He now has 108d6 of Available Fire Damage.

Half an hour later (his IST having gone down), Burnaby encounters a party of orcs (whom he can see with the Illumination effect).  He uses 1 sec light concentration to produce a 16d6 Fireball, which has a Radius of 16 = 4 ft.  His M for Fireball = (4+16-0) = 20.  He can therefore take -20 for Duration, giving 50 sec, and -20 for Max Speed, giving 30 ft/sec.  He can control the Fireball with light concentration (as per the spec. for Fireball), sending it up to 50 * 30 = 1500 ft away.  He sends it after the orcs, who are 120 ft away (and running away as fast as they can) when it hits them 4 sec later.  Burnaby explodes the Fireball (with light concentration) for 70HP Fire Damage with BTS 95% (Co) in an 80 ft Radius.  The orcs take 70HP each, and although a few make some sts, they are all blown to bits.

"Smokin'...!" gloats Burnaby.

Burnaby now has (108-16) = 92d6 Available Fire Damage.  He goes looking for more encounters...
