Elementalist Spell Specification

Class: Earth / Enchanter (Multi-Elemental)

6. Flesh / Stone or Stone / Flesh

The Spell may be Cast either as Flesh to Stone or as Stone to Flesh.

BTS: 75% (Co) vs Flesh to Stone.

Co check: Stone to Flesh requires a Co check to be made, or the target dies.  Even if it succeeds, the target still takes a permanent Co -1 (though this can be restored by the Clerical Restoration Spell).  The Co check is made against the target's Co before the -1 is taken.

Notes:

  1. Multi-Elemental Earth & Enchanter Spell: may be Cast as an Earth or Enchanter Spell. If Caster has both an Earth Elemental of Level >=6 and an Enchanter Elemental of Level >=6 Activated, they get +6 on Casting this Spell.
  2. Affects a single target only.
  3. If Cast as an Enchanter Spell it will not turn dead (or undead) flesh to stone.  If Cast as an Earth Spell it will.
  4. The Flesh that is Stoned includes all parts of the body (so Skeletons can be Stoned if Cast as an Earth Spell) and all clothes, armour, backpacks and possessions carried (it is an "aura" effect).  Stone to Flesh has the reverse effect.
  5. Stoning is a permanent effect (until Flesh to Stone is Cast to reverse it).  The target's soul is trapped inside the Stoned statue, and can think but perceive nothing.  It does not age.  If the statue is broken up, the soul remains trapped in the largest piece, but dies if that piece is reduced to dust, destroyed or consumed.  If a broken up Stoned Being is Stone to Fleshed, the result is the same as if the body had been cut up (pouring a Regeneration Potion over it first is advisable).
  6. Likewise, turning rock (e.g. a statue) into Flesh is a permanent effect (until Stone to Flesh is Cast to reverse it).  The Earth Spell will turn rock into fresh dead flesh (unless a soul was trapped in it), the Enchanter Spell will turn rock into living flesh (but unless a soul was trapped in it, it will have no mind and is likely to die).
