Actions: stare deep into own eyes

Effect of Throw:

-1 to 8 Insanity

9 to 11 erase / create random memories

12 to 15 No Effect

Chance of erasing memories = (T of Memory Control) / (T of Memory) * 100%

Real memories have T = 3 * (Mr of Target).  False memories have the T of the Memory Control Spell used to create them.  Real memories may be strengthened (or weakened) against erasure by rewriting them using a Memory Control Spell.

Memory Control (Self) may only be Cast with the Caster himself as Target.

Duration: the Charm Link lasts whilst the Caster maintains  heavy concentration.

Notes:

  1. Memory Control allows the Target's memories to be freely read and erased and false memories to be created without resistance during the Duration.  It does not involve questions and answers.  The Target's mind is passive, and may be read and written upon like a book.
  2. Erasing Spells learned reduces the Target's Spell Learning Levels.  Spell learning, Experience pluses and any other adventurer IBT, training, learning or experience may not effectively be written as false memories.  Such things have to be done and practiced to be learnt.
  3. Erased memories are permanently removed, and cannot be retrieved.
  4. Memory Control does not allow the Caster to identify, probe through, read the conditions attaching to or remove Mental Blocks and/or Hypnotic Suggestions.
  5. The Spell may  be used to make multiple attempts at erasing the same memories during its Duration, but its T decays by n(n-1)/2 for the nth attempt at erasing the same memory.
  6. It will take some time to read, erase and create memories.  This can typically take between 1 min to 1 hr.
