Powers:

  1. A + ((Wielder’s accepted Ft in SARAN) - 10)

  2. DAM + ((Wielder’s accepted Ft in SARAN) / 2)

  3. Vorpalness: any -ve combat result *3, & modified automatically towards neck (highest Hit Loc in head) & any Dam. severs head (only works if Wielder has Accepted Ft in SARAN >= 10)

  4. Dancing  Sword: up to half the wielder’s AMR may be taken without holding  the  Sword.  Radius of Effect = (No. of  SP Allocated by Wielder) / (No. of AMR dancing) i.e. SP to be Allocated = (No. of attacks to be taken in MR) * (Max Radius to dance in MR) (only works if Wielder has Accepted Ft in SARAN >= 10)

  5. Saving Level + (No. of SP Allocated by Wielder), Max. SP Allocatable = PlL, Cumulative with Paladinic Power no. 2. (only works if Wielder has Accepted Ft in SARAN >= 10)

  6. Telepathic Link to Wielder when grasped / dancing.  SP Allocated by Wielder = 2

  7. Control the other six Swords of Valdrea at will, and make them function with its own abilities in addition to their own on a non-cumulative basis; Power inoperative during a Duel.  SP Allocated by Wielder = s(s+1)/:2 for s Swords (only works if Wielder has Accepted Ft in SARAN >= 10) (Restricted Information: this Power known only to Emperor.)

Notes:

  1. SP are Allocated (and de-allocated) at will by 1 sec's heavy concentration with indefinite duration.  The Allocated SP count towards SP available (e.g. for calculating when one goes below 1/2 SP), but do not count as used (e.g. for the same purpose) as they are not expended.  They are not available for use in Spells.  If the number of SP used in Magic-Using reduces total SP available to less than the number of SP allocated, the number allocated is reduced accordingly.

  2. If the Emperor is killed and the rightful Heir is within reach, it will Dance to him.

  3. Will do 2d6/sec General Damage (no st) to any Chaotic Being grasping it.

Given by SARAN on 24 Weven 500 to the First Emperor, Valder I, in the Commune when the First Empire was founded.  Wielded by the Valdrean Emperor ever since.
