  1. Cold Ones are Reptilian and Saurian Monsters originally bred as mounts by the Saurian Cultists of the Jungle.  Over the years they have traded them with other Saurian Cultists (and in particular the Raucolië of the Moriquendi).  As captive Cold Ones have escaped into the wild or lost their riders in battle, they have become established in small numbers in the wild.
  2. They are known as "Cold Ones" because they are cold-blooded, rather than because they are creatures of Cold.  In fact, they prefer warm climates.
  3. Ferocious, carnivorous and stupid, so may continue an attack even if they are losing.
  4. Cold Ones have carrying capacity 5000 wt pts, and take encumbrance penalties to movement (including to Swimming movement) as for Horses, as stated in sections 4.5 & 4.6 of the General Systems.
