Other Abilities / Powers / Notes:

  1. Liches are typically former high-level SOROK Clerics, who have Cast the Lich Spell on themselves to become Undead, and so achieve a kind of immortality.  The Actions for the Lich Spell are committing suicide.
  2. Unlike Zombies or Ghouls, their bodies do not decay, but neither do they heal naturally.  They may recover Damage by Magic Spells and effects, but not by Enchanter Spells.
  3. Liches have the Magic-Using abilities they had when alive (at their full original Levels), but only Roll 1d6 on Charmer, Enchanter, Illusionist or Druidic Spells, as the Spirits of Life detest them.  They do not gain Experience or pluses, but retain those they had when they died.
  4. See the General Notes on the Undead.
  5. Liches retain the Senses (and NVR) of their bodies.  They have Detect Life as an innate ability (so Thievish hiding is useless against them).
  6. Undead hunger after life, and will attack living things, preferring those closest to their own species before being made Undead, and those with the highest At.
  7. They avoid Light (especially of LI >2), but are not stopped by it.
  8. Resistant to Nightmare and Madness.
