The Demon Binder

Most Binders who are not engaged in research will Summon Demons for Whom they have Grimoires in exchange for payment.  The customer is required to be a Celebrant in the Ritual.

Prices vary widely.  The following guidelines are those quoted by Asley, Boslef and Ceevalon, the "ABC" Demon Summoners of Fort Venture.

• To Summon a Demon of DL n into the Circle: 100 * n GP
• To Summon a Demon of DL n into the Triangle: 200 * n GP
• Pacts must be paid for direct to the Demon (including with one's soul where required).  The Binder will negotiate on the customer's behalf for a commission of 25% of any saving achieved over the Demon's original asking price.  The fee for persuading a Demon not to take a soul is 2 * the price to Triangle Him.

e.g. AGARES, Demon of Languages is DL33, so can be Circled for 3,300GP, when He will teach the customer 10LP in a language in which the customer already has 1LP.

Some Binders have done deals with Demons to sell enchantments by weight points of the item enchanted and plus sought.  The formula (inclusive of Triangling and the Demon's price) is (base cost) * (weight in wt. pts.) * (square of the plus sought).  ABC charge a base cost of 200GP, so to give a Broad Sword +1 (=5%) to A would cost 200 * 75 * 1 = 15,000GP, and to give it +2 to A would cost 60,000GP.
