Potion: Heroism / Super-Heroism

Materials

The Materials do not need to be freshly dead, but should still be in good condition.

Note that one Cast may be used to create multiple Potions if sufficient Throw is achieved (i.e. 10% per FtL of hearts).

Effect

  1. Taker does not need to be living.  He must be corporeal to take the Potion, but may become incorporeal and retain the Effect.
  2. Enables taker to fight like a L4 Fighter (Heroism) or L7 Fighter (Super-Heroism) for the Duration.  Has no effect if he is already that FtL or higher.
  3. Increases his FtL to 4.0/7.0, with the resulting effects on Fighter Abilities (other than as specified in Note 4. below).  If taken by Beings whose Fighter Abilities are dependent on their Level (e.g. Animal, Monster or Undead Level), it increases that Level to 4/7 for the Duration, or has no effect if they are already that Level or higher.
  4. Does not increase Attacks per Melee Round or Weapon Specialisation.
  5. The Effect is in addition to that of Potions of Ogre Strength / Giant Strength.
  6. The taker does not count as Undead, despite the use of Animate Dead in manufacture.  Alchemists in the Overworld do not publicise the fact that manufacturing these Potions requires necromancy and usually involves their dealing with Evil Temples.  The Potions are bulk manufactured in the Southern Cities and Alchemists in Valdrea and the North often import them from there.
  7. Duration (non-Extendable) is 9 + d6 min (i.e. 10-15 min).
