Notes:

  1. Cast upon an enclosed room (the "Chamber") in which Caster is present.  If enclosed volume of Chamber is greater than that specified by Volume parameter, reduce T accordingly and if T thereby falls below 46 there is no effect.
  2. Chamber is Mind Barred for Duration or until Caster ends the effect by 1 sec's heavy concentration.  The Mind Bar effect applies only to Spells or effects leaving or entering the Chamber, not as between the Beings in the Chamber.
  3. Mind Bar provides a complete block on mental Spells and effects, including all Charmer Spells, which have a Spell Level <= Level of Mind Bar.  Clerical Spells count as half their Level (FRU) for this purpose.  It is a 2 way barrier, and therefore Target cannot cast Charmer Spells of <= Level of Mind Bar whilst it is in effect.
  4. Activated Elementals will normally accompany their Elementalists into the Chamber.  Activating Elementals is Barred by the above Level test, unless an appropriate Elemental has accompanied another Elementalist into the Chamber (e.g. if Caster is present, there is likely to be a Charmer Elemental of Level >=8 present).
  5. Druidic Spirits will not normally enter a Chamber unless it is Natural (e.g. Oreads will enter caves or Dryads Chambers formed by trees).  Druidic Spells (and Summon Spirit rituals) where no Spirit of the appropriate Level is in the Chamber will be Barred by the above Level test, irrespective of whether the Spell being Cast has a mental effect.
  6. Certain Demon Powers involving mental awareness are also Barred.  Applicable Powers are Barred if the Ritual Level required to Summon the Demon is <= Level of Mind Bar.  For example, AINI is unaware of a conspiracy discussed between people in a Chamber Mind Barred at Level 8 or more (AINI being a Duke, requiring RL8 to Summon) and BORRO is unaware of a book stored in a Chamber Mind Barred at Level 6 or more (BORRO being a Prelate, requiring RL6 to Summon).  Demons of the applicable RL cannot be Summoned in the Chamber (but may Attend upon ones that can be).
  7. The Effects of Magic Items have an equivalent Spell Level of the Level of the Elemental Bound in them, the RL of the Demon that enchanted them, or Level 5 (in that order of preference).
  8. The Powers of Demigods involving mental awareness are Barred by a Mind Bar of Level 10 (e.g. OMERRON has no Knowledge of what transpires in such a Chamber).  MERLO and YHWRC are still aware of the Dreams or Madness (respectively) of someone physically present in such a Chamber, as their mind wanders in the Realm of Dreams or Madness, although they still benefit from the Chamber's effects against Beings other than Higher Powers of Dreams or Madness (respectively).
  9. A Mind Bar of Level 10 also Bars the Faith link to one’s God. This will prevent Gods knowing what Their followers discuss in such a Chamber and all Clerical Requests by those in the Chamber.
