These are low-level dungeon hacking sessions being run initially over Microsoft Teams, and now over Zoom. There is also a WhatsApp Group for the party to chat.
The premise is you are a group of young adventurers who have come to Fort Venture to gain experience and have formed what you hope is a compatible party. Fort Venture maintains some “training” dungeons near the Fort for this purpose, which they keep stocked with captured lowish-level monsters, but it’s not impossible that others may wander in… There is unlikely to be any treasure or Magic Items, though it’s always possible there’s something that’s been missed. Other parties may also be operating in the area. You are based out of Fort Venture’s camp near the training dungeons, so should not need supplies for more than a day. You will need torches or lanterns if you are not planning to use Infravision.
If you wish to take part, design up one Character using the instructions at How to Design a Character. Your starting Level (para 5) is 5 + d100 RUD for the next 2 decimal places, but Species Equalization is in effect (see the Level Equalization section on each People page). Systems and Gods are as at the starting date of 1 Jerem 2505. Potions can be purchased from Kazaral, if you can afford them, and Nima’s Shop is open if you are super lucky rolling starting cash or get a really good Luck roll and the DM is feeling generous. You do not get a special Power and do not expect Champion of ATAVAR resurrections. You are allowed to discuss your Characters with the other players taking part in order to design a compatible party.

Re the start date
(for keeping track of Experience) in Cell D21 of the Characteristics &
Experience tab, it will be 1 VI 2505.
I’ll assign the Character Numbers for the database
(Cell H1), starting with 6xx350.
Your name as Player should go in Cell H3.

tabs should be deleted. Powers should be None, unless you’ve taken an
appropriate Paladin or Druid, or I otherwise tell you.
Backstory is not so important, as this is about
Dungeon hacking, but try to design a party that would believably work together
based in Fort Venture. It is still a roleplaying game though, so do
specify Personality and a simple Past History to assist with the roleplaying.
We’re just trying to have fun, so I (probably) won’t secretly tell one Player
they’re a traitor or Doppleganger or something!
Keep a record of your HP, SP, IP, wounds, Experience earned etc., as I will be not keeping a detailed record so I can focus on the DMing. Experience divisors will be for lowest danger ( e.g. Ft/200) in the Easy Dungeons, medium danger in the Intermediate Dungeons and highest danger in the Difficult Dungeons, unless I specify otherwise at the end of the run.
In addition to the standard 1GP/Cd cost of accommodation and board at Fort Venture, there is a charge of between 50 to 100GP/Cd to enter the Training Dungeons (depending on the Dungeon) per up to 6 party members. There is an additional charge equal to the entry fee if the party exits through the entrance rather than an officia exit (no maps are provided). If you exit by Teleporting or similar, you must notify the Fort or you will be deemed to still be in the Dungeon and liable for ongoing charges. Returning to the Dungeons by Teleporting or similar is prohibited and liable to be charged at up to triple cost, plus you may encounter another party. You should keep enough of your starting cash to finance these costs.
You are asked not to kill "clean-up crew" Monsters (e.g. Carrion Crawlers and Gelatinous Cubes) unnecessarily, as these perform a useful function in cleaning up after you. Leave open the doors of rooms you have cleaned out of Monsters for this purpose (except for Trolls, which should be allowed to regenerate). Although the Dungeons are graded for difficulty, no guarantees are given and no liability will be accepted. A comprehensive written waiver of liability and contract must be signed by all party members before entry.
