For Dice which do not actually exist, roll a die with more sides and reroll any results greater than Claw Die.

Range:    d ft    -(4+d)    If cast on self, there is no Range minus. If cast on others, Range is at least 0 ft, so there will be a Range minus of at least -4.

Notes:

  1. Cast on a single Target Being, who must be a Bear Cultist, Bear or Werebear.  Target must be in corporeal form and have limbs on which the claws may appear.
  2. Gives Target claws like a Bear for Duration, if he does not already have them.
  3. Bear Claws may be used to make Claw Unarmed Attacks doing Damage of one Claw Die if they hit.  The Spell is often combined with the Bear Hug Spell, or sometimes with the Berserkergang Spell.
  4. May be Cast on Beings that already have Claw or Gouge Attacks (e.g. Bears) to increase their Damage.  Claw / Gouge Dice are not cumulative - only the highest counts.
  5. Attacks using Bear Claws do not count as magical for the purposes of overcoming Invulnerability Effects.  Non-standard Spells giving pluses to A and which do have this property may be available to particularly ferocious Bear Cultists.
