1. Locate Druidic Media / 2. Locate
Vegetables
Sered Cycle
NB Locate Druidic Media is only Sered Cycle for Vegetable Media.
For Animal Media it is Yribt Cycle. For non-organic Media it is Ranian
Cycle. For ice it is Ranian Cycle of the Icelands.
BTS: n/a
ULT: 8 / 16 hours
Materials: none
Actions: describe the Target Medium / Vegetable by
hand movements
Effect of Throw:
1 to 10 / 1 to 11 No Effect
³ 11 / ³
12 Radius (T-10) miles
Duration: t hrs - (t-1)
Notes:
- Caster must specify a Target type of Media which is usable by Caster /
species or genus of Vegetable.
He may
specify a particular specimen previously instressed by him.
- Vegetables
typically have leaves, fruit and roots.
They include mushrooms, toadstools and (parasitic) tree fungi,
but exclude moulds, slimes & oozes, which are organisms (and
therefore animals). They
do not include Ents
(which are Monsters), but do include
Huorns and other
ambulatory Trees and Plants.
- Whilst Caster uses
light concentration at
any time during Duration he will be aware of the location, in the sense of
direction and approximate distance (e.g. it's just over those hills over
there) to, the nearest live (unless non-Organic) specimen of the Target
Media / Vegetable within the Radius. Where eligible Targets are of
equal distance, the greatest number is Located.
- Target must be within same
Forest as Caster's location on Casting. The distance to a specimen
in a different Forest is calculated via the Sacred Hearts of the two
Forests, including the total distance between the two Sacred Hearts.
- Locate Vegetables only
gives a general indication of direction and distance. To find the
precise location of the Targeted specimen, it may be necessary to use
Detect Vegetables. If Caster
has Locate and Detect Vegetables in Effect simultaneously, the Locate
Vegetables will indicate exactly which Detected Vegetable is the Located
Targeted specimen.
- The
Targeted specimen is fixed upon resolution of the Spell, so if for example
it should be picked during Duration the Caster will get no further
readings.
- A maximum Radius may be specified. If there is no specimen
satisfying the necessary criteria within the Radius, there is no effect.
