Before the Proclamation of the First Valdrean Empire by Valder I in the Year 500 and the later slaughter on Druids' Isle in Valdran in the Year 1000, Cattle Cultist Druids followed their herds across the Valdrean Plain with their Sacred Site at Ox Circle in what is now Bomar Province. The Ox Way road follows one of their main migration and trading routes. Some cattle ranching families in Bomar and neighbouring Provinces still follow the Old Ways and practice Cattle Beastmaster Druidism.
The Way of the Buffalo teaches calmness, wariness and strength in numbers. Cattle Cultists tend to be G/N or N/L and worship THE GREAT WHITE BULL (known as THE GREAT WHITE BUFFALO amongst Buffalo Cultists), an Aspect of ESCUS (for G/N Cults) or of SARAN (for N/L Cults). Valdrean Cattle Cultist families publicly follow SARAN, but in private worship Her as THE GREAT GOLDEN HEIFER.
The main Bovine Monsters are Gorgons and Minotaurs and Cattle Cultist Druids have Spells which relate to or affect them. Cattle Cultist Druids get Shapechange to Minotaur as a Power @ DrL 5. This does not include the Regeneration Ability of some Minotaurs (which they get as a separate Spell). Their Minotaur head usually corresponds to that of the local cattle; i.e Bison in the area of the Grasslands, Buffalo in the area of the Jungle or Aurochs in the area of the Icelands.
The White Buffalo is a legendary pure white perfect Buffalo which appears from time to time in the Grasslands bringing good fortune, usually prophesied by a White Buffalo Maiden who claims to have been the first to see it in the flesh or a Dream, resulting in Quests and/or hunts to find it. Equivalent legends concern White Totem Animals of other Mist Warrior Tribes.
The Dreamworld of Buffalo is The Buffalo Kingdom, part of The Endless Plains. Aurochs and Yaks dream of The Endless Tundra, also part of The Endless Plains.
