The Demons of Anarea

Demons tend to be of Demon Level ("DL") from 10 to 35. Their Powers are Delegated subject to the condition that Their Magic may be Used by Binding Them in accordance with the Demon Summoning system.

The most powerful Demons are the Demon Lords, Who are said to number 666, and who tend to have DL of 25 or over. The Ranks of Demon Lords are commonly translated into those of human lords, as follows (for each of the nine Alignments):

• 1 King
• 3 Princes
• 6 Dukes
• 8 Marquises
• 12 Prelates
• 16 Presidents
• 28 Earls (or Counts)

= 74 * 9 = 666 Demon Lords or Major Demons

Good Demons are also called Angels, and Evil Demons called Devils.

The Demonic Host of each Alignment is made up of the Demon Lords of that Alignment, together with the Lesser or Minor Demons under Their command. The most commonly encountered Minor Demons are as follows:

• Familiars (DL 1-10)

• Jack O'Lanterns (DL 6-12)

• Sprites (DL 10-12)

• Imps (DL 13-15)

• Gremlins (DL 16-18)

• Demon Hounds (DL 10-20)

• Incubus / Succubus (DL 10-15) (night encounters on watch only)

• Misc. Minor Demons (DL 10-24)

• Balrogs (DL 10-24)

• Devils (DL 12-24)

• Angels (DL 12-24)
